I have a few questions regarding the use of Mg Sulphate in your respective countries. With specific emphasis on Ghana and Uganda.
1. How is Mg sulphate being used at this moment in your countries and by which Group of health care professionals
2. which factors limit the use of Mg sulphate
3. Which interventions or innovations would be needed to adequately apply Mg sulphate in the treatment of pre-eclampsia (e.g. training, distribution, competent authority guidance, finance, diagnosis of eclampsia, way of administration of Mg sulphate, laboratory testing for monitoring of Mg blood levels)
Thanks

This is a very interesting topic, I can provide some comments since I faced some concerns in my Health Zone in RDC :
1. How is Mg sulphate being used at this moment in your countries and by which Group of health care professionals: In order to combat the maternal mortality we received a support of the woman health care from UNFPA (United nations fund for Population) we trained all the care suppliers and distributed the drugs to all of the facilities.2. which factors limit the use of Mg sulphate:because the guideline of the DRC does not have the Mg sulphate to the medicines list of the peripheral Health facilities and recommends to use it only in the General Reference Hospital, we had a discussion with the Representative of the MoH in the District who provide to us a authorisation letter for using the Mg sulphate by the peripheral HF just for the urgency and preventive option before transferring the patient for a proper treatment by a Doctor in the reference Hospital.
