Antimicrobial Resistance in the Real World (AMR) is a programme under the AMR Cross-Council Initiative.This call is co-funded by: NERC, The Biotechnology & Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) and the Medical Research Council (MRC)
The programme examines antibacterials, resistant bacteria and bacterial resistance genes of clinical or veterinary significance, and the role the outdoor environment and host microbiome has on the spread of antibacterial resistance.
Research can be based in: Agriculture, Aquaculture, Waste water and natural environments, Human and animal host microbiome, How individuals and communities interact with the enviroment
The grant will consist of approx £200k per project for 12-36 months
A meeting where applicants can discuss their proposals with both funders and potential collaborators will be held in London on 11th September 2015
